DLNR Holds Hearing On Conservation District
Use Application For Single Family Residence Near
Pao`o, North Kohala

HILO -- The Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) will hold a public hearing at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, January 24 at Spencer Beach Park pavilion in Kawaihae, to receive testimony on a conservation district use application (CDUA) HA-3269 for a single family residence located at Pao‘o, North Kohala Hawaii TMK (3) 5-7-001:005

A copy of the application, the project's Draft Environmental Assessment and maps of the general location of the area under consideration are available for inspection in Honolulu at the DLNR Office of Conservation and Coastal Lands, Kalanimoku Building, 1151 Punchbowl Street, Room 131; in Hilo at the DLNR Land Division office, Hilo State Office Building, 75 Aupuni Street, Room 204; and at the Bond Memorial Public Library, in Kapa‘au, Hawai‘i.


Any person may testify or present information on the application. If you have a legal interest that may be adversely affected by the application, you may have the right to request an administrative contested case hearing.

However, you must make the request either orally or in writing by the close of this public hearing and file a written petition for a contested case hearing within 10 days after the date of this public hearing.

If you do not make such a request, or fail to file a timely written petition with the Department of Land and Natural Resources, you may be precluded from obtaining a contested case hearing and judicial review. See Chapter 13-1 Hawaii Administrative Rules of the Department of Land and Natural Resources and Chapter 91 Hawaii Revised Statutes.
