Public Forum To Cover Wailoa Small Boat Harbor Plans
And Effects Of Ethanol Gas (E10) For Marine Use

HILO – The public is invited to an informal forum on Wailoa Small Boat Harbor operations, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Monday, December 18, 2006, at the County of Hawaii Aupuni Center Conference Room, 101 Pauahi Street, Hilo (former Firestone Tire store).

Staff from DLNR’s Boating and Ocean Recreation Division (DOBOR), Engineering Division and Conservation and Resources Enforcement will attend.

“We look forward to sharing the most current information with boaters about our planned emergency maintenance dredging of the harbor entrance channel, harbor repairs and maintenance, boaters’ concerns regarding effects of ethanol gas (E10) in marine use, and other concerns as time allows,” said Peter Young, DLNR chairperson.
