DLNR Invites Public To Information Forum May 19
On Rules For Mauna Kea ATV/Dirt Bike Trail Use


KAMUELA — Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) conservation officers will hold a public information forum on Saturday May 19 to provide information to users about regulations and newly adopted rules for ATV/ dirt bike use in state forest reserve and game management areas.

The information meeting will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m, at the Mauna Kea Kilohana check-in station in the North Hawaii District

“We will be stressing the proper procedures required to ride in the area as well as riding safety,” said DLNR chairperson Peter Young.

“We welcome feedback from the general public regarding their other concerns regarding DLNR’s rules and regulations,” he said.
