Research Corporation of UH; Status Under the UIPA

The Research Corporation of the University of Hawaii ("RCUH") is an "agency" for purposes of the
UIPA and, therefore, subject to its disclosure provisions. The RCUH was created by statute as a
public instrumentality and a body corporate. The UIPA includes within its definition of the term
"agency," corporations owned, operated, or managed by or on behalf of the State, and other
instrumentalities of the State.
