Opinion Letter No. 93-01
April 8, 1993
Native Hawaiian Revolving Loan Fund
The State Office of Hawaiian Affairs (OHA) must make
available for public inspection and copying
the following information about Native Hawaiian Revolving Loan Fund
(NHRLF) recipients: name,
business address, loan amount, loan purpose, and loan status. Although
the NHRLF is administered
by the OHA, it is federally funded. Consequently, the OIP determined
that it is not a "state or county
loan program" that must disclose certain information under
section 92F-12(a)(8), Hawaii Revised
Statutes. The OIP further found, however, that none of the exceptions
to disclosure under the UIPA
applied to this information.
